Minted offers two basic types of notebooks: photo-focused or design-focused.
Important notes to keep in mind while creating your notebook design:
- All notebooks should have at least one textbox for the customer name(s) and can include additional textboxes for titles (i.e. “notes”, “journal”, etc.) or other design-specific text (like the school name shown in the design below).
- Years should be avoided whenever possible.
- There is a maximum of 6 colorways offered on notebooks.
- Foil is not offered on notebooks at this time.
Photo-focused designs usually have at least one photo layer (full bleed or cropped), and are set up the same way as a normal card (with one clipping mask). It is also possible to set up multiple clipping masks so that customers can add more than one photo to their notebooks. If there are patterns behind the photos in the background layer, please make them a continuous pattern.

Example of a multi-photo notebook:

Design-focused notebooks usually feature background artwork with some negative space for the editable text, or a static piece of art/typography that has the editable text worked into it.

Teach From The Heart by Jessie Steury
