Photo Mount Cards

Photo Mount cards are a luxe option for Minted customers where a hand-mounted photograph is placed onto a card (instead of having the photo digitally printed onto the card itself). Photo Mount photos are printed on semi-gloss photo paper, which allows for optimal photo quality. 

Because the customer photo is separate from the card in Photo Mount, there are some tips and tricks specific to this product type to keep in mind when designing.

Photo Sizes & Borders

• Because photos are printed separately from the card for this product, we are limited to the following photo sizes:
  • 3 x 3 (square)
  • 4 x 4 (square)
  • 4” x 3” (landscape) and 3” x 4” (portrait)
  • 6” x 3.5” (landscape) and 3.5” x 6” (portrait)
  • 5” x 3” (landscape) and 3” x 5” (portrait)
• The templates include photo frames at each of the listed sizes. Do not modify the size of these photo frames in any way, including rotating or resizing. Photos cannot be placed at an angle or tilted.
• The photo does not need to be placed in the center of the design as long as there is a border surrounding the entire photo space.
• In order to ensure symmetrical photo mounting, designs have to include a border around the photo space.
• You are able to utilize any type of border (i.e. straight border, double border, dotted border, wavy border, scallop border, botanical border, bow border, etc.) as long as the photo space is framed.

Additional Specifications

• Die-cut shapes are not available for Photo Mount cards.
• Photo Mount cards are not eligible for alternate orientations.
