Ensure the front of your design stays true to your winning submission (unless changes were requested by our Merchandising team, found in the ‘Requests’ section of your File Request).
If your design is foil, your colorways should be differentiated by something other than foil color. Customers can pick any foil color they want for each colorway.
If your design is foil, try to include a variety of foil colors across your colorways.
Die-cut shapes are placed in the “background” layer within your templates. You can turn this layer on and off to preview what shapes will work with your design.

BACKER (REQUIRED)
In addition to a solid colored backer, the following accessories will also have a patterned backer available:
Invitation, Direction Card, Reception Card, RSVP Card, Program, Place Card, Table Number, Long Menu, Menu, Favor Tag
You are welcome to create separate patterns for each product, or submit one single pattern that we will apply to the backer of all pieces listed above.
Do not include any customizable elements on your pattern backer, as our customizer cannot accommodate this. Please also avoid using text on your backer in general, as this causes confusion among customers.
We cannot accommodate foil elements on the backer.
NOTE: Our team will select a coordinating color that will sit below the Minted logo on all backers throughout your suite. This color must be the same across all backers, so keep this in mind if you are varying the pattern across items in your suite.
ENVELOPE LINER (REQUIRED)
Please create a patterned liner that coordinates with the rest of your design (pictured far right)
Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold liners will also be available to customers as an option.
Do not include any text or customizable elements on your liner, as our customizer cannot accommodate this.
If you’d like to use the same single pattern for the liner that you submit for the backers, leave this artboard blank in the templates.
MATCHING ENVELOPE (REQUIRED)
All fonts used for addresses must be at least 2 points above the minimum font size.
Please include designs for both recipient address (front of envelope) and return address (back flap).
Names may be in script fonts, but due to postal regulations, script fonts may not be used for sender or recipient addresses. Please also ensure that the names are on one line only.
Avoid using large blocks of color in your design or light pastel colors, as these do not render well when printed. Please also avoid using large areas of texture, as these have the potential to come across as a printing error.
Do not slant or rotate any name/address text on your envelope.
BELLY BAND (REQUIRED)
New for 2025: We no longer require a customizable element on the belly band. If you do not want the belly band to be customizable, leave the text box blank when preparing your files.
If you include a customizable element, to ensure easier customization of your design, please do not include any glyphs in the customizable text.
We do not allow photos or years on belly bands.
For foil-pressed designs, foil can only be placed on the 6-inch area indicated in the template.
DIRECTIONS CARD (REQUIRED)
This insert card can be used to communicate an array of information. Here are some options for you to consider:
1. Directions to the wedding venue(s). Make sure the directions fit with the location listed on the invitation.
2. Information about hotel accommodations.
3. The couple’s wedding website. If including a wedding website, please use a Minted wedding website URL (i.e.kathrynandmichael.minted.us).
Do not include a year on this card.
RSVP CARD (REQUIRED)
Some customers want to give guests the option to either send back their physical RSVP or to reply on their website. If you want to include a URL for online RSVPs, you’re welcome to do so.
If your RSVP asks guests to write their initial beside their meal selection, please ensure there is adequate room for up to 2 guests’ initials next to each option - we recommend at least 1/2".
Ensure the background is light enough in color for the recipient to write on. If your invitation is a dark color, consider using an inverted color scheme for the RSVP card.
Include an RSVP date (date & month only, no year please!). This is usually 1-2 months before the wedding date.
Include space for the guest(s) to write their names as well as attendance choices (i.e. “accepts” and “declines”).
A common customer request is to add menu choices. Please include 3 menu items (1 being vegetarian) on your RSVP card that correlate with your menu copy.
RSVP ONLINE ENCLOSURE CARD (REQUIRED)
Include the link to a Minted wedding website URL.
Include an RSVP date (date & month only, no year please!). This is usually 1-2 months before the wedding date.
MULTI-EVENT RSVP CARD (REQUIRED)
Include at least 3 different wedding events to which the guests may RSVP. Common wedding events include:
Welcome party
Ceremony
Farewell brunch
Include an RSVP date (date & month only, no year please!). This is usually 1-2 months before the wedding date.
RECEPTION CARD (REQUIRED)
This insert card is used to provide additional information about the wedding reception. Here are some design ideas for you to consider:
1. Provide the address of the reception venue(if different from the ceremony location), or provide walking instructions to the reception
location if within the same venue.
2. Describe the meal/activities(i.e. “small bites will be served” or “ join us for an evening of dinner & dancing!”)
Do not include a year on this card.
If you include a website link, make sure it is consistent with other website links across your suite.
REHEARSAL DINNER ENCLOSURE CARD (REQUIRED)
Use this card as a rehearsal dinner invitation that guests will include with their wedding invitation.
Details should include the date, time, and venue of the rehearsal dinner.
Do not include a year on this card.
NEW! MINI ENCLOSURE CARD (REQUIRED)
This is a small-format (2.5"x3.5" or 3"x3") enclosure card that may include the following info (use this for inspiration, not an exhaustive list!)
"See you there!" (a nod to location)
Welcome parties
After parties (night of the wedding)
Sunday Sendoff (brunch, pickleball game, etc)
Accommodation/hotel block details
Decorative element or crest
Attire details
Registry details
"No Kids" message
Note: the use case for mini enclosure cards should notbe for a wedding website or RSVP, as we have different products for those use cases. We will update the copy for mini enclosure cards if they are submitted with wedding website or RSVP info.
The mini enclosure card should coordinate with the rest of your suite.
If your invitation suite is foil-pressed, please include foil on this card.
THANK YOU CARD (REQUESTED FROM SPECIFIC SUITES)
New for 2025: Thank you cards are no longer a required wedding suite element. We will indicate in your File Request email if we are asking you to create a thank you card.
Design the front of an A2 folding thank you card. The interior and back will be left blank.
Include a customizable element (i.e. the couple’s names or initials).
Photos are optional on thank you cards.
Softness vellum overlay by Christa Kimble, pictured on top of invitation
NEW! VELLUM OVERLAY (REQUESTED FROM SPECIFIC SUITES)
Vellum overlays are A7 sheets of translucent vellum designed to overlay a wedding invitation.
New for 2025:Vellum overlays will be requested from a subset of suites and are not a required file for all designs. Please see your File Request email for more information on whether our team has requested a Vellum Overlay design.
The first name, last name and table number must be placed in the text boxes provided in the template. You are welcome to move the text boxes around. Please note: the first and last name must remain in separate text boxes that are vertically stacked.
Aside from name and table number, you're allowed to add other elements that will be standard across all place cards (i.e. couple's names, wedding date, etc.)
In addition to the front, please also submit a solid or patterned backer. The backer cannot include foil or customizable elements. Please do not include text on the backer, as that confuses customers.
Some text overlap with design elements is fine, just ensure it is easily legible. Test out and/or use longer names with ascenders/descenders to ensure it can be accommodated.
Example featured is Racquet by Megan Davis
PROGRAM (REQUIRED)
Please do not include a year on the program, though the month and day is fine.
Visit the Minted site for examples of wedding program content (i.e. order of events, songs, etc) or reference examples included in your File Request.
You're welcome to tailor your program towards a specific type of wedding (e.g. a Jewish wedding, a Catholic wedding).
MENU (A7 REQUIRED FOR FOIL AND NON-FOIL)
Include a minimum of 3 menu items.
Make sure there is at least one vegetarian dish.
Try to use more descriptive names to describe a dish instead of a single item (i.e. use filet mignon instead of beef).
Please do not include a year on the menu, though the month and day is fine.
New for 2025: If your design is letterpress, please note that the A7 menu is not a required file.
Try to use more descriptive names to describe a dish instead of a single item (i.e. use filet mignon instead of beef).
Please do not include a year on the menu, though the month and day is fine.
NEW! WEEKEND ITINERARY CARD (REQUIRED)
This is an A7 card designed to give wedding guests a clear overview of the events surrounding a wedding, especially those who have traveled to attend.
These cards typically include:
Event headers detailing the times and locations of all planned events (e.g. welcome party, ceremony, reception, brunch or farewell event)
Details for each event, such as event name, date/time, location, and dress code
If your invitation suite is foil-pressed, please include foil on this card.
Example featured is Palm Monogram by Olivia Raufman
NEW! TALL WEEKEND ITINERARY CARD (REQUIRED)
This is a tall format (4"x9.375") card designed to give wedding guests a clear overview of the events surrounding a wedding, especially those who have traveled to attend.
These cards typically include:
Event headers detailing the times and locations of all planned events (e.g. welcome party, ceremony, reception, brunch or farewell event)
Details for each event, such as event name, date/time, location, and dress code
The weekend itinerary card should coordinate with the rest of your suite.
If your invitation suite is foil-pressed, please include foil on this card.
Example featured is Palm Monogram by Olivia Raufman
TABLE NUMBER (REQUIRED)
Text boxes can be moved around within the template, but the design must contain at least 3 customizable text fields (see details below).
Some text overlap with design elements is fine, but ensure it is easily legible.
If you include a date, please omit the year.
If your design is foil-pressed, the word "table" or "table number" can be foiled if you'd like.
The table number will also have a pattern backer available.
Movable elements are OK on this piece (i.e. “and” or “&” can be movable between customizable names if you want to maintain any glyphs).
Keep important elements away from the bottom of the artboard to accommodate for the table number holder.
The table number must use numerals and should not be spelled out. Our customizer cannot support this.
Customers are able to customize up to four elements on the table number design, making each table number unique. See requirements below.
MASTER TEXT BOXES: 1-3 separate text fields. Text in these fields will be constant and be the same on every table number. Suggestions: Couple’s names, date (no year), phrase, quote, monogram, instagram hashtag, “table no."
VARIABLE TEXT BOXES: Two separate text fields. Text in these text fields will change per individual table number. Suggestions: Table number - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6......, Name of table/table theme, etc.
Test out all numerals & double-digit combinations in your table number. We strongly discourage using fonts with varying baselines, as this will cause certain table numbers to look misaligned when printed (Mrs. Eaves in particular has this issue).

FAVOR TAG
New for 2025:we are requesting either the favor tag or favor sticker to coordinate with an invitation, not both. Please see your File Request email for info on which piece (tag or sticker) we would like you to create.
Please design on either our 3.5x2 or 2.25x2.25 template.
In addition to the front of the favor tag, please include a patterned backer.
If you include a date, please omit the year.
We cannot accommodate foil elements on favor tags.
FAVOR STICKER
New for 2025:we are requesting either the favor tag or favor sticker to coordinate with an invitation, not both. Please see your File Request email for info on which piece (tag or sticker) we would like you to create.
Please design for only one sticker shape that will be offered with your design.
Refer to the templates included in your File Request to see the sticker shapes available.
If you include a date, please omit the year.
We cannot accommodate foil elements on favor tags.
Please do not include a photo on your favor sticker.
NEW! Wedding Signs
We have two sizes of wedding signs available, each with different use cases. Please review details below. Note that wedding signs are available only as non-foil products at this time.
LARGE WEDDING SIGN (18x24)
Use the Large Sign template for the following wedding sign use cases:
Welcome Signs
Direction Signs
Schedule Signs
Seating Charts
Note: You do not need to prepare your wedding sign file in all 3 sizes available in the templates (although you can if you would like to!) If you'd prefer not to do the additional work yourself, simply prepare the largest size (18x24) and our team will build out additional sizes for you.
Example featured is Coastal Toile by Jenna Holcomb
SMALL WEDDING SIGN (11x14)
Use the Small Sign template for the following wedding sign use cases:
Bar Signs
Food/Menu Signs
Reception Signs
Note: You do not need to prepare your wedding sign file in all 3 sizes available in the templates (although you can if you would like to!) If you'd prefer not to do the additional work yourself, simply prepare the largest size (11x14) and our team will build out additional sizes for you.
Wedding Sign File Prep Tips
As part of our normal design review process, our team will carefully check Wedding Signs to make sure that they look great when printed. However, we’re also including guidelines below for artists to check their own work to see how it will print in these larger sizes:
Use Adobe Illustrator to preview how your artwork will look when scaled up to 18" x 24" (our largest wedding sign size):
Rescale to 100% (cmd + 1 on Mac, ctrl + 1 on Windows)
Turning on ‘ruler’ in photoshop will help you get a sense of scale (cmd + option + R on Mac, ctrl + R on Windows)
If your artwork appears blurry or pixelated, it will not print well as a wedding sign. You will need to either export your file at a larger size/higher ppi, or re-scan your low-res images at a higher resolution prior to submitting files.
Each Wedding Website will have four home page layout options offered. These layouts will vary in their use of photos and/or design elements, and help provide customers more options for their wedding website.
Note for Letterpress Wedding Invitations: Given the different methods of printing, it is difficult to match Pantone letterpress colors with digitally printed CMYK elements. Because of this, we suggest using a different but coordinating RGB color for your wedding website.

This color will be offered with all four website layouts.
SMALL DIVIDER (REQUIRED)
This small divider will be used to separate small amounts of content.
Make sure it has a transparent background and that it works well against the base background style.
Please do not use ampersands or any letters/words/phrases/initials for this element.
Keep in mind that this divider will be used multiple times on the same page, so we suggest keeping this element fairly simple
LARGE DIVIDER (REQUIRED)

If you choose to submit the Navbar Background pattern/color, keep it subtle so text will be easily legible over the artwork.
MASTHEAD ARTWORK(OPTIONAL)
The masthead is used in one of the four homepage layout options available on a wedding website. We strongly encourage you submit this if your invitation includes design elements and is not typography-based.
Your masthead can be top-aligned, middle-aligned, or bottom-aligned. You can see examples outlined in your provided templates.
Please select & design for only one layout, not all three.
It’s possible that your masthead artwork may be cropped on the sides due to website responsiveness & differing screen dimensions.
PLACECARD ARTWORK(OPTIONAL)
The placecard artwork is used in one of the four homepage layout options available on a wedding website.
In most cases, you can repurpose your Masthead artwork by making it slightly larger.
This placecard pattern will only fill the placecard area.

SAVE THE DATE CARDS
FRONT
Ensure the front of your design stays true to your winning submission(unless changes were requested by our Merchandising team, found in the ‘Special Requests’ section of your File Request).
Keep in mind that our team requires a few key pieces of information: the couple's names, date, and location
When creating your alternate colorways, ensure your fronts contrast from one another by something other than foil type (if your design is foil-pressed). Customers will be able to mix and match foil types for each available colorway.
If your design includes foil elements, try to use a different foil type for each colorway. You may repeat a foil type if needed, but please ensure that the color of other design elements differ.
Die-cut shapes are placed in the “background” layer within your templates. If your design uses a die-cut shape, you can turn shapes on & off here to preview your design. Our team will automatically launch your design with the die-cut shape matching your winning submission.
A solid color backer will automatically be offered with your design, so please create a patterned backer that coordinates with the front of your design.
Make sure you bleed the pattern design to the edge of the artboard (the color behind the logo will be applied by our team before launch).
Do not include any customizable elements on your pattern backer, as our customizer cannot accommodate this. Please also avoid using text on your backer in general, as this causes confusion among customers.
If your winning design is foil-pressed, know that we cannot accommodate foil elements on the backer.
ENVELOPE LINER
Please create a patterned liner that coordinates with the rest of your design.
Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold liners will also be available to customers as an option.
Do not include any text or customizable elements on your liner, as our customizer cannot accommodate this.
Either submit one pattern on the combined backer & liner file in your templates, or create two separate patterns and submit both.
MATCHING ENVELOPE
Please include coordinating designs for both recipient address (front of envelope) and return address(back flap).
The more creative your envelope design, the more likely it is to be featured in Minted marketing materials!
Choose fonts that complement your design and/or coordinate with the front (but keep the default names & addresses).
Due to postal regulations, please do not use a script font for the sender or recipient address (names are ok though!). Please also ensure that the names are on one line only.
Avoid using large blocks of color in your design or light pastel colors, as these do not render well when printed. Please also avoid using large areas of texture, as these have the potential to come across as a printing error.
Do not slant or rotate any name/address text on your envelope.

Please ensure there is at least one customizable element in your design (i.e. bride's name or initials). You are welcome to also include a photo in your Thank You Card design, but a photo is not required.
Please do not include a year on your thank you card, as this is difficult to update if your design is in our assortment for multiple years.
If the front of your design includes foil-pressed elements, please also include foil-pressed elements on your Thank You Card.
*Note: Thank you cards are required for Bachelorette Party, Engagement Party, and Wedding + Bridal Shower Invitations only. They do not need to be included for Rehearsal Dinner invitations.

Select one tag shape/size to create a customizable tag that coordinates with your winning design.
Favor tags come in 3 different sizes: 3.5x2 (landscape or portrait) and 2.25x2.25 (square).
Favor tags are typically used by the hostess and placed on party favors.
Include at least one customizable element on your tag (i.e.Thank You, name of bride/couple, Thanks for Celebrating, etc.).
In addition to the front of the favor tag, please also design and submit a patterned backer. Solid backer options will already be available to customers.
If you include a date, please do not include the year.
If your winning design is foil-pressed, please do not include foil elements on this piece.

INSERT CARD (REQUIRED FOR BRIDAL + WEDDING SHOWER ONLY)
Use cases include:
Display Shower: Instructs guests to not wrap presents. Instead, they will be placed on display and the guest(s) of honor will spend time socializing and playing games as opposed to opening gifts.
Registry Card: Instructs guests as to where they can find the bride/couple’s registry.
Well Wishes for the Bride/Couple: Includes a blank or lined area for shower guests to write a sweet message to the bride/couple.
Advice for the Bride/Couple: Similar to the “well wishes card”, this includes a blank or lined area for shower guests to share words of wisdom for the couple.
Date Night Idea Card: Includes a blank or lined area for guests to write in their best date night idea for the couple.
Stock the Bar Card: Instructs guests to bring alcohol or drinks as their gift to help set up the new couple’s home bar.
Recipe Card: Includes a sufficient amount of lines for ingredients and instructions so that guests are able to write down one of their favorite recipes to share with the bride/couple.
Cocktail Recipe Card: Similar to the ‘recipe card’ however it specifies for guests to share a cocktail recipe instead.
Shower Game Cards: This insert card can be used at the shower to facilitate fun games for the party. One common game example includes “Guess the Kisses”, where guests write down how many chocolate kisses they think are in a jar. Other game cards include trivia questions about the bride/couple.
Your file request will specify which insert card use case our team recommends you submit. However, if there is an alternative use case that you feel better suits your design, you may submit that instead (even if it is not included in the list above).
The insert card should feel cohesive with the parent shower invitation without being too matchy-matchy.
Include at least onecustomizable element(i.e. the bride's/couple's last name or shower date)
If your parent invitation is foil-pressed, please do not incorporate foil elements on this insert card. We will only be offering non-foil insert cards.
