General Online Invitation file setup tips:
-
Don't flatten your artwork when submitting final files. A new feature is being introduced where customers can change the background color of their online invitation. To prepare for this, artwork can be vector with no background or PNGs with transparent backgrounds.
- Artwork should be at least 200 DPI (300 DPI is recommended).
- We encourage you to have your online invitation design in the CMYK color profile, since we may repurpose these into printed stationery in the future. If you'd like to use the more vibrant colors that the RGB color profile offers, we allow it with the understanding that the print version will not be an exact match.
- If your design has non-editable typography in the artwork space at the top, include it in the artwork artboards (desktop and mobile).
- You are welcome to use Minted foil textures in your artwork. Only use one foil color per colorway. You can use the same foil color for multiple colorways (unlike stationery products), but note that we will need to update this if your design is repurposed into a printed product.
There are three required artboards in the Online Invitation template. See below for more information on how to prepare your final files:
Online Invitation Text Preview |
- This artboard is intended to look like a final Online Invitation created by a host.
- Prepare this artboard to match your challenge submission, incorporating any design requests from our team.
- Replace all of the placeholder text (e.g. "Event Date") with sample text that matches your original submission.
- Text boxes marked with an asterisk (*) can be edited by the customer. These must all share the same font and color.
- Make sure background colors and textures are extended to the full artboard.
- You cannot apply texture to the entire background, but you are welcome to apply the same background color throughout.
- Center the header image and greeting within the artboard for visibility (ie, please do not place art or greeting at the edges of the artboard and leave the center blank).
|
Desktop Graphic |
- Place your artwork onto this artboard, making sure to fit your artwork to the full width + height of the artboard.
|
Mobile Graphic |
- Resize your desktop artwork to fit onto this artboard, making sure to fit the full width + height of the artboard.
- Artwork can bleed off of the edge if needed.
- You may crop, scale, or condense your header as necessary, but keep in mind that this should read as one design, slightly tweaked to fit two sizes.
- Customers will be able to switch between desktop and mobile view, so these should not feel like two different designs.
- We recommend checking out our current assortment to see the way designs translate between their mobile & desktop versions.
