We encourage artists to only submit under one account. If you want to rebrand your Minted account, please rebrand using your existing account and do not create a new account.
Because we want to encourage and foster collaboration between artists, we allow artists to create “partnership accounts.” A “partnership account” is a formal partnership or brand created with another artist. It could either be:
- 2 or more Minted Artists collaborating under a new account
- Minted artist collaborating with another artist, who does not yet have a Minted account but who is materially contributing to the creation process of the new partnership account.
If you plan to participate in a partnership account or if you already have a partnership account and plan to create a separate individual account, you must inform Minted by filling out this form.
Will a Challenge submission limit apply to all accounts that an artist is involved in?
Yes. You cannot create a new account for the purpose of submitting more than the submission limit. The submission limit will be applied to all Minted artist accounts an artist submits under, including partnership accounts.
For example: Artist A submits under individual account “Artist A” and partnership account “Partnership A.” If the submission limit is 10, Artist A and Partnership A can only submit a total of 10 submissions across both accounts.
Does an artist’s activity across multiple accounts count toward CMYK status?
No. We evaluate each individual account separately when evaluating sales and wins to qualify for the CMYK program. We will not combine your wins and sales from multiple accounts for CMYK qualification.
For example: Artist A submits under individual account “Artist A” and partnership account “Partnership A.” Artist A has 25 wins and Partnership A has 25 wins for a total of 50 wins. Artist A and Partnership A do not yet qualify for the C level of the CMYK program because individually they have not reached 50 wins.
Can artists vote from multiple accounts?
No. You may only have one active Minted account under which you submit your votes. The purchase or barter of additional votes or encouragement of other users to vote under multiple accounts are considered improper voting practices and we reserve the right to audit suspicious voting practices. If you are found to be engaging in improper voting tactics, Minted may exclude improper votes from consideration, remove your entry or entries from consideration for the Challenge, or terminate your account.
Is a “partnership account” or “new account” eligible to win the Newbie Award (Special Prize)?
No. If an existing Minted artist creates a partnership account with another artist, this joint account is not eligible for the Newbie Award. Newbie Awards will be reserved for artists who have never won a Minted Challenge before, across all accounts.
Is a “partnership account” eligible to win other Special Prizes such as Critique Award?
Yes. But we will not combine activity across multiple accounts for any Special Prize.
If an artist is prohibited from participating in Minted, can they still participate under “partnership accounts” or create a “new account”?
No. An artist who has been prohibited from participating from Minted cannot submit under any Minted account.
Can Minted split payments to multiple artists under one account?
No. We ask that partner artists handle split payments on their end. Minted will not be responsible for splitting payments between partners under one account.
