Original Art: Framing and Feedback on Your Artwork

We love supporting your creative expression. Your art is your own to make and frame, but we do have a few suggestions about framing and sizing of your works.

Framing:

As a rule of thumb, we advise that anything sold on DFA should be able to be hung by the purchaser as is.  

• Canvas, or any material with its own hanging hardware, is fine to sell without a frame.  However, keep in mind that certain purchasers may prefer the aesthetic of framed artwork!
• We recommend that any works on paper that are intended to be displayed on a wall should be offered framed.  
• When framing, please consider the safety of the products. For example, plexiglass is a safer glaze than glass, both for the artwork itself and for risk during shipping.  It also reduces the weight of the overall product.
