For almost all of our Minted Challenges, we hold a critique period. Once submissions close, there’s a 24 hour period during which artists can offer and receive feedback on their work before voting opens. During the critique period, you can make edits to your existing submissions; however, you cannot upload new designs.
Here at Minted, we honor constructive feedback. The critique period is a time you can help fellow artists improve their work. It’s also a place where artists who have been going back and forth with colors, fonts, etc. can receive feedback from the Minted community to help inform their creative process and improve their output. Please see this article to learn more about how to give and receive feedback within the Minted community, and check out this expert advice from a Parsons School of Design professor in this Julep blog post: 7 Ways to Master Art and Design Critiques.
To celebrate extraordinary community spirit and constructive feedback, we award $50 in Minted credit to the top critiquers for each challenge. Each challenge page has a “Most Constructive” leaderboard, where we track the community members who have received the most constructive votes for their critiques. When submissions close, the top two "Most Constructive" will win a Critique Award. We hope you join in the community spirit, and give feedback to fellow Minted artists!
