Minted’s internal review team evaluates all flagged designs from a merchandising and legal perspective. Designs or artwork that constitute infringement will be removed immediately, however, the standards of legal infringement are quite high and the majority of problematic pieces reported to us fall into the category of "too similar, but not infringement."
How we will determine intent
• We have developed a rubric of questions. Each reviewer scores the case on many dimensions.
• We have dedicated reviewers who will review all cases, for consistency’s sake.
• We will not publish our rubric because we don’t want to provide a roadmap for how to game the system.
Once all members of the review team are aligned on their decision, we will reach out to the artist who reported the design to let them know what decision was made and what action (if any) will be taken.
If you find a design, artwork, or challenge submission that appears to be too similar to an existing piece on Minted, please let us know immediately by filling out this Designs to Flag for Review form, and we’ll take it from there.
