How do artists qualify for the CMYK program?

To be eligible for the CMYK program, artists must be active on the Minted platform during the previous calendar year (i.e., submitted to at least one Challenge). Qualification for the CMYK program is determined by your sales and/or number of Challenge wins during the previous calendar year.

Because Minted is a private company, we do not share sales numbers publicly and cannot share the exact sales percentages you need to reach to qualify at each level. That said, you can review the general differences in qualifications across the CMYK levels below.

Cyan (C)	You make up a meaningful % of category sales and/or you have over 50 Challenge wins You are willing to commit to entering at least 1 Challenge annually
Magenta (M)	You make up a meaningful % of category sales and/or you have over 100 Challenge wins You are willing to commit to entering at least 1 Challenge annually
M+	You make up a high % of total Minted sales and you have over 100 Challenge wins You are willing to commit to entering at least 3 Challenges to the core Challenge assortment in each qualifying category
Yellow (Y)	You make up a very high % of category or total Minted sales Stationery: You agree to enter at least 7 designs in at least 3 Challenges in each qualifying category Art: You agree to enter at least 5 submissions in at least 2 Challenges
Black (K)	You make up a very high % of category or total Minted sales You agree to be exclusive with Minted in each of the categories you qualify in Stationery: You agree to enter at least 15 designs in at least 3 Challenges in each qualifying category Art: You agree to enter at least 10 submissions in at least 2 Challenges

Artists qualify for the Y and K levels of the program based on the percentage of total Minted sales that they account for in each of our key categories: Holiday, Wedding, Baby & Kids, Greeting Cards, and Art. The same group of artists qualify for Y and K, but those who choose the K level will receive additional benefits and agree to limitations on some commercial relationships.
