Welcome to a whole new kind of challenge! Our rapid-fire tee shirt experiment last fall generated significant interest in the category. We are looking to you, our talented design community, to help us set a new standard in the apparel industry for fast-to-market design. With Minted Now, customers can “vote with their wallets” and buy any entry to the Challenge during the voting phase. Winners will be sold on Minted as well as possibly through our retail distribution partners.
For this challenge, we will accept a broad range of placed graphic designs for our Women’s Tee. The exciting new twist: your designs will bypass voting and be made available directly to the consumer for at least one week. This means that even if you do not win, any Minted customer or your friends and family can buy your tee shirt for at least one week at a 25% discount.
All artists will have a chance to get their tees produced and be in the limelight for visitors. We will kick off the “vote with your wallet” period at a major industry event on March 19.
Please note that Minted Now is currently an experiment, and is a separate model from our current Minted challenges. There is no plan to replace our standard challenge and voting model in other categories.
